The Travel App

The Travel App is a range of tools for travelers to manage many aspects of their trips. From budgeting to travel documentation.

THE PROJECT

THE TRAVEL APP

The Travel App is a a range of tools within one app that allows users to manage many aspects of their trips. From secure, in-app purchasing and currency information to an innovative Lens tool that allows the usre to scan any price in any store around the world and have an instant conversion to home currency.

The variety of tools within the product enables users to worry less about the organisational details of their trip so they can enjoy their time away.

THE PROJECT

THE OBJECTIVE

The objective given to Perfutil by this client was to create an innovative, forward thinking product that would encompass a range of tools within one app so users would not have to use multiple products.

In addition, we were tasked with creating some innovative tools from scratch such as the Lens, which allows travellers to a price in any store, receive currency conversion in AR and allow them to pay all in one short flow.

THE PROJECT

THE PROCESS

As a team we decided upon dedicating a lot of time to the research phase of this project. The UX team undertook a number of researching phases to maximise this period of discovery.

This resulted in providing the team with many options and features that travelers would find useful. The UX and Software Architecture teams then moved into design and development phase, where we produced a modern and fresh interface for this product that the clients were very happy with.

UI DESIGN

The Approach

For this project it was just as equally important to have a design that stands out as it was to have a good user experience in the background. The visual nature of travelling, and the rising standards in design of 2019 meant that we had to create a distinctive and fresh look for this project. The freshness of the blues that we chose mixed with the whitespace made the product easy on the eye and nice to use. In addition, the client highlighted the importance to have a stand out product in a busy industry.
